Description
Introducing the V2 double end rope bag: a revamped and enhanced version of the double end rope bag. This latest edition boasts a modified closure tailored for swift water conditions, offering a distinct advantage over its predecessor. Adorned with vibrant and captivating graphics, the V2 is not just functional but also aesthetically pleasing. It’s crafted using ECOPAK, a premium technical fabric that promises unmatched durability and performance relative to its weight. Elevate your adventures with the V2 double end rope bag.
The Ecopak Rope Bag: Extending Ultralight Durability
Crafted from Ecopak, a cutting-edge ultralight composite material, the Ecopak Rope Bag is engineered for serious performance in the harshest environments. Although incredibly tough, keeping one or both protective/flotation pads in place when navigating abrasive terrain will extend maximum longevity.
Designed to handle the rigors of being tossed from cliffs on occasion, your bag will last even longer when the last man down rappels with it clipped to their harness. And while Ecopak can handle almost anything, sticks and branches are its one true nemesis—keep an eye on your bag’s path to avoid snags and tears.
If your bag ever needs attention, simply send it back with a note explaining what has transpired to cause the damage—we’ll take care of it.
*While Ecopak is highly durable and abrasion-resistant, it should still be protected using the included pads. The pads serve a dual purpose — they provide flotation and also shield the Ecopak from damage when dragged across hard surfaces or thrown onto rocks. The pads can be removed for stealth missions, but should be reinstalled for everyday use.

There are other double ended rope bags out there, but they are heavy, bulky and almost designed to be transported as a small backpack. Not packable at all! I was already a fan of Gear Perspective’s rope bags because they are light, functional and have great craftsmanship. So when I had the opportunity to test and give some design input for a new Double Ended rope bag I jumped on it. The result is a light, versatile, configurable, color-end coded bag, that when empty and folded, fits in your hand and still can host up to 300′ ropes.
I have been leading and guiding with the Double Ended bag and it has quickly substituted prior double ended rope bags and regular bags. It has been able to easily host 200′ ropes and even skinny 300′ ropes. While guiding it has performed beautifully allowing for this level of rigging and for recoreational canyoneering. This bag has been a companion on some first descents due to how light, packable and versatile it is.
