Description
As a collaboration with Dave Searle and designed for skiers and mountaineers, the Gear Perspective Rad-30 is an ultralight yet tear-resistant rope bag. At a maximum capacity of about 2.5L it will hold 30 meters of Petzl Radline or other supple 6 mm rope. Perfect for crevasse rescue, rappelling or roping up on a glacier.
It’s crafted using Ultra Grid (TM) from Challenge Sailcloth, a premium technical fabric that promises unmatched durability and performance relative to its weight.UltraGrid is made of recycled nylon and a double grid of UHMWPE fibers for exceptional tear strength.
UPDATE: Now available with or without extra drainage holes in the bottom for wet rope.

Thoughtful design, well made with premium materials. Can’t really ask for more in a rope bag for this purpose. The grommets in the bottom are a brilliant simple addition that make this much more useful than other rope storage bags, the ability to have it staged with a figure 8 ready to be clipped by someone needing a rope makes this a uniquely useful piece of kit. If you carry a rad line, glacier cord, or any other small diameter hyperstatic rope for emergencies this is the rope bag for you!

This thing is absolutely perfect for the RAD 30. The double grommet is very clever. And the daisy chain is nice for clipping on your harness or a belay device when storing the kit so it all leaves the house as a unit.
